I don’t even know where to begin the blogpost for this week, so I figured I’d just start with a photo of a lamp post💡, because Why not!?

I’ve done some fair amount of traveling in the past but I don’t think I’ve covered so much in a week. Started this month with Kilter, followed by an adrenaline rush for the upcoming travel(is that a thing?). Right now, I’m writing this blog post from Vienna, Austria(no kangaroos here).

Earlier this week, I spent some of my time in Paris. Just like any other tourist, I went to the Eiffel Tower first.

Fun fact- Did you know that The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world!?

On the top, the have a translucent vertigo inducing glass floor. If you look below, you can find the a mural called the “Endless Sleep” along with tiny hoomans(actual humans that seem so tiny cuz you’re way above the ground). For someone who has some level of Acrophobia, it took me balls of steel to walk on top of it and take pictures.

Next destination- The Louvre!

If you’re a Dan Brown fan, you probably would’ve heard of the Inverted Pyramid which is supposed to contain the remains of Mary Magdalene. If you go past that, you’d reach the entrance of the Louvre. The paintings inside are insane! I mean, they’re super funny and if you’re into memes, this place is a visual treat for you.

And now to the most important reason on why you’d go to The Louvre(unless you’re actually into art and shizz)- The Mona Lisa! Here’s an Expectation vs Reality picture of what you’d find there.

It has multiple layers or protection and could even be a replica of the original painting(I’m a fan of conspiracy theories!). But hey, there are lots of other stuffs that people could enjoy at the Louvre. Speaking of which, look who I ran into!

Guess who I met!? Joseph Ducreux! The meme?

Joseph Ducreux! Don’t know him? Here you go: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/joseph-ducreux-archaic-rap

Could I be more happy!?

Also, when you’re in France, when someone helps you, always say Merci!

Venice (No Merchants here)

Next stop on the list was Venice. I must admit, this was secretly the one that I was really looking forward to. Venice- as in the place with boats, water and gelato is in fact not that big. You could finish all the touristy places in about a day or two. Venice is more of a chilled out place to just walk around aimlessly and get lost. Getting lost can be a way to reward yourself to a Gelato from a new shop with new flavours!

Boating is huge in Venice. But then again, I’m from Kerala and we’re known to travel on elephants🐘 and boats🛶. So I had to act cool when I saw that.

Blue sky, green water and buildings

The Gondola rides are pretty rad. Also, don’t be surprised by the way they dress in Italy. You’ll adapt. They all do. The day you land, you’ll think you’re naked because some these folks who ride the gondolas would be wearing suits👔 and you’d be in your shorts and tee👕.

Pizza🍕

I could’ve just added this as another paragraph, but the I figured that this probably needs a section for itself. Pizza in Italy is *nothing* like what we’ve had before. They taste different and is mostly thin crust. Not everyone would like it, but then again, you’re in Italy and you cannot say that you don’t like the Pizza. There’s just too much pressure. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Here’s to more travel tomorrow and a good sleep tonight. Oh and yes! I managed to stick to schedule and blog this week too, before 12 tonight(in my timezone)!

This blog is a part of my “One Blog Per Week” resolution. Contains random rambling, learning and experience. If you have any inputs/thoughts, shout out to me at @dun3buggi3.
