Last week at Hello Web
A quick recapš
It has been more than a year since Make With Mozilla happened in Chennai.
The Hello Web Curriculum Sprint has been in the works since that event. Whenever someone asks me whatās the best part of getting involved with Mozilla Learning, I always tell them about the community. In this case, it was the amazing bunch of volunteers. Each one of them as dedicated as ever to make this event a success. The mission to teach the web is ever so close to all of them.
We kick-started this project 2 months back in full throttle. Numerous emails, telegram messages, phone and video calls later, we were finally in place for the event.
This wasnāt intended to be a huge event in terms of number of attendees. This is why there was a curation process to select projects or people with ideas. This meant that although we only had a day, all the participants were on the same wavelength so we didnāt waste much time explaining what the event was about. It also helped that the volunteers got on a call with each and every participant to give them detailed instructions before the event.
Although Arkodyuti had asked me to do the keynote at Hello Web, I knew that everyone in the room already had a good idea about the entire event. We then had Arko speak about the five tracks at the sprint and whatās expected from all of us at the end of the day. (Woohoo! Hereās to building cool things)
We also had Googlers, Python contributors and founders of startups in Bangalore join us for the event.
I personally had a super fun time talking and working with each and every one at the event. Donāt believe me? Hereās a šø where I donāt have a Resting Bitch Face.
Now, first things first- if youāre curious to know the different projects at Hello Web, check them out here:
Feel free to jump in and contribute to any of these projects. If you have any questions, drop me a message.
Hereās to more such events!
